I had never seen said vent hose on any battery until a month or so ago when
I bought a Bosch battery from Pep Boys (was not for a Vanagon).

|Someone recommended WalMart as a good source for a battery. I
|just was at WalMart. The battery they have, Group 41-4, looks
|exactly like the other Group 41 batteries I've seen for the
|Vanagon. However, it does not have the nipple that others
|have mentioned for attaching a vent hose. I asked the clerk
|about it, and his response was something lilke, "huh?" He
|seemed to think the whole idea was lucicrous. I checked with
|a couple of chain parts suppliers, also. Same response.
|So, what batteries actually are so equipped?
