Greetings Volks:

My friendly, neighborhood VW dealer just quoted $330 or $745, 300W or 450W, for a replacement cooling fan motor for my 86 Vanagon. In either case, it is just a bit pricey, eh?

Can anyone suggest a more reasonable alternative for fixing what sounds like bad bearings in my present motor?

Thanks -- Frank
