Greetings Harry.

I'm posting this from Prince Rupert, BC. Had a nice drive from Victoria to Port Hardy, about 600 kilometers. Beautiful road from Campbell River to the top of the island. The driveshaft performed well, no vibrations, at least none related to the shaft & u-joints. Came across a small herd of elk crossing the hwy., which made me think about "Bull Bars", and perhaps investing in a set. The Ferry from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert, about 15 hours in the summer, longer in the winter, was entertaining. Came upon a pod of killer whales on the inside passage which created some excitement. A cruise ship coming down from Alaska graced us with it's presence. Anyway, off to Terrace tomorrow. The name of the outfit that repaired my driveshaft is located in Surrey, BC. Driveline Services Unit #10 - 12318 - 84th Ave. Surrey, BC. V3W 0J5 Tel: 604-572-3735 Ask for Dale or Rob.

Have been having some engine problems. Tends to run rich on long extended hwy runs. Black tailpipe. A vibration or shudder at 2500 rpm and 3500 rpm during acceleration & deceleration. The driveshaft is not the cause, and the problem is intermittent. Had alot of work done recently to remove carbon and the van runs smoother, but still has this shudder. Also replaced the lifters on one side. BTW the shudder existed while the driveshaft was out. If anyone has had this sort of problem and resolved it, I would sure like to hear about it. Thanks.
