I'm trolling for suggestions on repairing a Westfalia mud flap (replacement cost $86!). The right front flap has a clean two inch horizontal tear probably from rubbing up against a high curb. I thought of sandwiching the damaged area between two flat metal plates (kinda ugly though) or between two pieces of heavy duty rubber of some kind and riveting the whole affair together. Any other ideas out there? Roy O. '87 Westfalia (till death us do part)
