Vernon,
    I'm in the process of replacing the trans in my camper.  I had these
symptoms at first.  Don't worry your trans may not be on it's way out.  What
it sounds like is either your master or slave clutch cylinders.  Look under
your driver side rear wheel and you should see the cylinder.  Is there any
fluid dripping from it?  Squeeze the boot, is there any fluid in the boot?
If so, from my experience change them both out to prevent problems later of
the other failiing.  Another question is, How old is your clutch?
