Subject:      Re: Painting Exterior Plastic
Content-type: multipart/alternative;

On the heels of the discussion last week regarding painting exterior plastic, I painted the exterior on my bus this past weekend. I used Krylon flat black to paint both front grilles rear air intakes rear window exhaust vents trim on front/rear bumpers and the trim on the side panels

It worked very well indeed.

Also, as my 13 year old decided to "touch up" a spot he decided I missed, I had to clean some errant paint from one of the side panels. Honorable son missed the black trim and hit a portion of the gray plastic. Ultimately, I found that furniture finish stripper (essentially methyl ethyl ketone) not only removed the errand black paint nicely, but also did a fantastic job of refurbishing the general finish of the trim. So well in fact that I used it on the other side trim and bumpers. They all look really clean and sharp!
