Per, what is the name of that mini-van style car that I've seen in Europe that has a VW version as well as a Japanese version? Do you know which one I mean? It has four doors like a car but it looks like a mini-van.

Not that I want one. just curious about it. It is always interesting to see the cars they have in Europe that they decide not to sell in the US. I've always felt VW could sell the Polo's here.

Seen it, and driven it. It is really a Hilux, with VW badges. Why, you might ask? Well, Toyota wanted to have the car produced somewhere in Europe, and VW didnt have any pickup in that class, it filled the gap between the Caddy and Transporter. It wa produced at the Hannover plant, as both VW and Toyota. The German production was discontinued in 1996.

Did you know that the Quantum sedan was produced in Japan in the 80s, by none other than Nissan. I am not sure if it had VW or Nissan badges, it was called the Santana, just like in Europe, South America, and China.
